Please DO NOT DEVELOP THE GREEN BELT in Ontario.
There are plenty of small towns north and south of the green belt that could use housing development plus rapid transit such as GO trains, or light rail, or GO buses to move people to jobs in larger near by towns or cities. Increasing populations in these small towns outside of the green belt will create more income for existing and new businesses.
The GREEN BELT must not be developed because “greenbelt lands like wetlands, streams, meadows, forests, and others provide ecosystem services like water quality, air quality management, flood control, and carbon sequestration.”
