Do not remove ANY land from…

Do not remove ANY land from the Greenbelt - as this government has promised in the past before suddenly breaking their promise this month. The Greenbelt is supposed to protect our prime natural and agricultural lands - the few we have left in Southern Ontario - forever. Carving it up and acting as if land can be equally swapped in and out undermines its impact and encourages future governments to do the same. This government has acted with utter impunity and seemingly no regard for the will of its own people, especially in Hamilton and Halton.
Stop now, and begin the hard work of regaining your constituents' trust, by addressing the housing crisis in the already-developed land within urban boundaries that is available. Give municipalities the means to build complete, livable cities, rather than endless sprawl that destroys our environment, costs taxpayers far too much, and does not solve the housing crisis.
Shame on this government if they continue with this "plan".
