I am an Ontario resident and a concerned citizen and parent.
Our Greenbelt was made protected land for good reason, and giving it to developers will bring irrevocable damage. Bill 23 should be repealed. It takes power away from municipalities and communities who voted not to develop Greenbelt land. Doug Ford also promised not to touch the Greenbelt.
In the middle of a climate crisis, we cannot afford to be attacking wetlands, farmlands or our water. There is no evidence this Bill will help the housing crisis. It is only set to benefit wealthy developers.
Please repeal Bill 23 and save the 7400 acres of Greenbelt land from being paved over.
