Please accept my comments in opposition to Bill 23.
Bill 23 was passed without sufficient consultation and will result in my property taxes increasing. Markham has estimated that property taxes will increase 50-80%! I, along with most Ontarian's, cannot afford increased property taxes.
The Bill's stated goal is to increase the affordability of housing yet there is nothing that suggests the sale price of housing will decrease. It is, however, guaranteed that my cost of housing will increase. This Bill will put money in developers pockets at the expense of every Ontarian.
Please repeal Bill 23.
Thank you,
Susan
