I believe that this plan is only to the benefit of developers that have conveniently recently purchased land in these greenbelt dezoning areas at huge discounts, they don't help the housing crisis as now the government will create gains in the multiples for these developers by dezoning greenbelt which was useless land before. The developers will not be providing discounts to buyers that they are going to receive from this action and development charges being removed will only increase profits of builders. This government has many tools available to them to address the housing crisis this is not one of them. It is interesting to note that 1st time home buyers still have the low discount of $4000 off Land Transfer Tax. Maybe increasing that discount will provide relief to some 1st time homebuyers. No other supports are in place for 1st time home buyers. We should focus on improving our roadways and transit connections and start creating more density instead of being majority Single Family Home. I am a very big fan of addressing this housing crisis, this action will only inflict further pain.
