I agree we are in a housing crisis, but dismantling environmental and heritage safeguards that have been in place for decades is not the right way for "more homes built faster". Under Ford, Ontario is moving backwards. Why do we have to remove environmental protections to build homes? This feels like a lazy option without considering our province's future.
There are other ways to build homes without urban sprawl:
- We need to densify our cities
- We should repurpose existing infrastructure
- We must invest in public transit
We need real, long-term solutions -- not Ford's short-sighted and irresponsible Bill. Please don't go ahead with Bill 23.
