A small part of what is being said is true - more housing is needed.
However, to suggest that this be built 'quickly' will not provide the kind of stable, quality shelter
and the surrounding neighbourhoods that singles and families will need.
Good housing can and should be built in the already designated places where roads, sewers, hydro,
transportation options, shops and services already exist.
Not on our Protected and vital Greenbelt.
Not on Ford-buddy-contractors' recently-acquired lands.
Not as quick-built #&* boxes that won't last and won't be proper homes in proper neighbourhoods
for the people who really need them.
To want to un-Protect any Green space is not only illogical and irresponsible, but at this time when
we are all in a Climate Change Crisis, most people are well aware that we need our Farmlands, Wetlands,
and as much Natural landscape with as many species as we can retain.
To un-Protect any of our Greenbelt is an immoral act, as is the destruction of old growth trees.
Your government should be expanding Green Spaces, but in no way diminishing any existing parts.
