I think it’s absolutely absurd that that the ford government thinks they can remove protected green belt land and “add” land elsewhere. Firstly, it is my understanding that there is already nearly 88,000 acres of land within the current urban boundaries that should be used for these “apparent” 1.5 million homes we need to build. Secondly, the premier promised Not to touch the protected greenbelt land. Also, it is incredibly, suspiciously convenient, that developers have recently purchased some of the greenbelt land, notably Silvio De Gasperis (TACC developments) who borrowed 100 million dollars from CIBC at 21% interest, shortly before the land, ironically, got changed from greenbelt to development land. Who would borrow 100 million dollars at 21% interest rate, unless they knew some inside information. Shame on you for trying to pull off this shady stuff Ford.
