By definition, landscapes are unique and many cannot be replicated. Destruction of lands and their biota that they support is irreplaceable. These original lands were chosen using a scientific approach, but an accounting sheet. Several landscapes are irreplaceable. For example the lands to the west of Duffins Creek (map 6) provide protection to a unique and important section of Duffins Creek, where because of its high quality Atlantic salmon restoration has been ongoing for 20 years. Removing these lands will jeopardize the habitats for this heritage species that is immediately downslope.
