This proposal is shortsighted and will negatively affect future generations of Ontarians by permitting developers to avoid rules designed to protect the environment on which human life depends. The result will not only be environmental degradation and exacerbated health problems, however. First, a sick workforce means an ailing economy--something we learned already during the pandemic. And second, overburdened health care systems mean older generations (which include the politicians and developers pushing this misguided proposal) will also suffer. In short, this disastrous proposal benefits literally no future Ontarians, and benefits only a minority of Ontarians in the present, who themselves will eventually suffer for the above reasons anyway. It's foolish and should be stopped.
