This is the wrong direction to be going. Creating market pricing for pollution is a good way to ensure that market mechanisms are available to create a business case for companies to reduce pollution. Without strong financial incentives to reduce pollution, companies will do what is cheapest and pass the pollution burden to our children. Its really a shame that conservatives don't believe in conserving the environment and harnessing market forces to do it. We should be honoring our commitments to the Paris climate change agreement. Canadians should keep their word.
