Repealing the cap and trade act without a plan to replace it is shortsighted, and a certain guarantee that Ontario's carbon emissions will not meet the reductions they must to ensure that Canada attains it's goals under the Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement is already laughably lax, and if we cannot even meet those standards then we are doomed to leave to our children and our children's children a very different world to grow up in. Repealing this act will only save money in the short term, and cost far more in the long term. As our elected provincial leaders it is your responsibility to govern for our best interests. This just isn't.
