This is one of the stupidest and most short-sighted proposals I have ever seen.
1. The greenbelt is irreplaceable. Only a fool would mess with it.
2. There are other ways to meet our housing needs. The housing that will be developed under this plan is of the worst possible type, in any given location, given that is just more sprawl-type development that is entirely car-dependent. Doing it in the green belt just adds insult to injury.
3. The deal appears to be extremely corrupt. Who are all the developers who bought land there recently? What did they know in advance? It has all the appearances of a criminal conspiracy and I would like it to be treated as such.
