Ontario should not repeal any climate change policy until a replacement is ready to be implemented immediately. The province should be trying to improve the health of it's citizens by reducing emissions and putting a price on pollution. Companies polluting should be forced to pay for their emissions and the revenues channeled into healthcare or returned to individual Ontarians to offset their personal carbon emissions. Do this by creating legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. Make Ontario 100% powered by clean energy by 2050. Ontario needs to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions!
