I find it irresponsible for the Government of Ontario to put through a Bill to repeal the existing the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016 without prior submission of a Bill outlining time specific targets for greenhouse gas emissions.
Bill 4 minimally states that the Government is only required to provide targets at some time in the future, and does not in any way address how of the Government of Ontario plans to address the provincial requirements of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change.
If the present governing political party of Ontario believes it is just merely putting forth the mandate of their voters ... I would like to point out a greater number of the Ontario population voted for the present Canadian Federal Government and their agenda for Climate Change.
