It is so transparent at this point to all Canadians especially those in the GTA that the Ministry of Housing and Steve Clark have no interest in the livelihoods of those who don't line his pockets.
How exactly does it help to add housing stock, the proposed intention of this regulation and the greater plan to gut all of our wild spaces for development? The goal is more housing yet these amendments are clear in allowing '10 units or less' on land specifically designated for more. The only reason to push through such an amendment is to allow for corporate occupation of these sites for building more luxury condos that are unattainable to the poor and working class.
Swathes of Toronto communities are already being gentrified by these companies and spaces approved for development lie vacant because developers refuse to build spaces that contain ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE UNITS.
