This is an archaic and barbaric thing to suggest that we go back to this style of 'hunting'. Involves nothing natural and it is not for sustenance. As someone who comes from a fishing and hunting family, I find 'training' animals like this is disgusting and it is not in the spirit of human kindness, ethics or morality. This is surely being done to appease those who could stand to make money off such suffering.
