The use of penned dog hunting facilities is cruel to wild animals who are subjected to various training methods used to teach dogs to hunt. It is inhumane to take wildlife from their natural environments and hold them captive for hunting purposes. Specifically, using rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as prey for training dogs and holding competitions is particularly cruel.
