I am so angry that this is being proposed. This bill does not present an alternate plan.
It is absolutely critical that Ontario does everything possible to prevent greenhouse gases from reducing our quality of life any further. Polluters should pay to pollute. We need a plan to reduce emissions and transform our economy, yesterday. We need to take advantage of the economic opportunity that transforming to a new green economy presents . We need to avoid the economic impact of severe weather events and social costs that come with climate change. We need to be open for business in the 21st century.
It is unconscionable that the government is tearing up legislation without first planning an alternate bill to address the issues.
