This practice is absolutely barbaric and I can't believe that we as a progressive and forward-thinking province are looking to take such a huge step backwards. This practice should not be allowed to re-emerge, in fact we should abolish it in every form, whether someone was grandfathered in or not. I really hope that good sense and compassion will win out, especially in a department that should be about protecting what's best for the environment. I literally created an account today just to let you know how disgusted I am that this horrific practice is even being considered. This is animal cruelty and the very notion of making it legal is abhorrent.
