I am very disturbed by the removal and cancelling of the cap and trade program. This bill should not succeed; at least, not if our government educated themselves on how it truly works, and cares for our environment. We are now at a time where the leaders of today may feel and see the consequences of their lack of positive action on the environment, and removing cap and trade is definitely not a positive action.

Cap and trade leads directly to a reduction of pollution over time. It is a gradual decrease that allows industry to maintain production, slowly reducing as it can, encourages the sharing of best practices and knowledge, and penalizes companies that fail to reduce their pollution levels through increased operating costs.
