I believe climate change is one of the most important challenges we as humans are facing right now. Serious commitment on behalf of government is necessary to affect climate change.
The cap and trade program is an important part of Ontario’s climate change fight and should not be eliminated. Over 40 governments worldwide use a form of cap and trade or carbon tax. This action is necessary if the government actually wants to make a difference.
This week the IPCC report exclaimed that impending climate change effects will happen sooner than expected. The report also said that cap and trade or carbon tax is one required tool to affect change.
Please act responsibly. Act on behalf of the next generation. Don’t scrap cap and trade.
