Dear Government: I am writing to indicate my disappointment in your newest policy directive regarding the Cap and Trade agreement. Our environment is rapidly deteriorating and needs voices of strength and direct action to mitigate the current stresses on our land; forests; waterways; wetlands; air; etc. The elimination of cap & trade will in turn result in the elimination of a funding stream that supported a long list of initiatives to help Ontario respond to the climate crisis. Please review your thinking and act as responsible caretakers of a land gifted with so much life. Please change your approach from the short-term vision to one which resonates with the current crisis from an individual perspective but also including our Canadian global responsiblity .
