I don't think this site is in a location that makes any sense. This site is right beside and directly across from residential homes. This site is right next to Molly's Creek. This site is too close to the community of Dresden. The only reason this site is being proposed as a landfill is because of how it was used in the past. If this location was located near Toronto it would be part of the green belt and no one could build anything on it let alone make it into a landfill. I find it frustrating we have to convince our government this is a bad idea because of a poor decision made in a long time ago.

In the past experts thought that it wouldn't damage the environment to create large pits to manufacture clay tile but we now know it was probably a bad idea so close to Molly's creek. Then in the past experts thought it wouldn't damage the environment to dump ashes in the pits we created but we now know it was probably a bad idea. Then experts said it would be ok to use this site for recycling wood. We now know it was probably a bad idea. Now the new owners are saying this proposal shouldn't cause any harm to the environment because we are only burying construction garbage but if we have to we can do a environmental assessment asking experts if it is ok. I hope by now we should just know without asking an expert that this is just a bad idea.

Please understand the logical fear of the community close to this site that if this is allowed to happen that some day an expert will ok turning this site into a large residential garbage dump.

I believe nothing like this could ever happen in a community in the greater Toronto area because no one would want it even though it only make sense to recycle construction garbage close to the area were its being created but to make any sense they need to be able to bury some of the construction garbage they can't recycle. Here in Southwestern Ontario we have too many landfills already.

Please reject this proposal. I am against it. I realize that an environmental assessment may have to be done tough but the result should be that this is just a bad idea for this location.
