I very strongly support the initiative to promote safe, enjoyable cycling throughout and across Ontario. It's an excellent way to encourage healthy lifestyles for Ontarians as well as visitors. It's also an appealing way for us to begin to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Thank-you.

On road cycling facilities should be installed on Bloor Street in Oshawa to make it possible for commuter cycling to have a safe route to Oshawa GO station
I like seeing that the Government of Ontario is planning a cycling network, and I would like to see that the safety of cyclists comes first when all feasibility studies are done.
This is an important initiative. My friends and I would really like our town of Almonte to be part of it. It would be a great shame if we were to be bypassed and excluded from the bicycle network being developed.
The existing on road route from Confederation Beach Park in Hamilton to Grimsby needs a review. Cyclists - concerns re Safety: unprotected lanes mixed with truck route/heavy vehicular traffic travelling at 80 km/h & multiple crossings into this traffic is hazardous.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the proposed Province-wide Cycling Network. It is encouraging to see the province pushing forward with a cycling strategy for the entire province.
I can not judge for the entire network, so I limit myself to the Ottawa stretch. I am mostly concerned about the route over the Airport Parkway. Unless the province is going to build a complete segregated path here, I don't think the province should dedicate this as a cycling route.
The Huron County Cycling Advisory Committee would like to see that the Province Wide Cycling Network through Huron County coincides with the Waterfront Regeneration Trail that is currently being planned for implementation in 2018.
I am completely in favour of an extensive bicycle network that would accommodate bicycles and pedelecs (bicycles that have a an electric motor that adds power when a cyclist uses the pedals) in protected lanes. Pedelecs are great for older people as it gives them an assist on hills.
Highway 24 / Charleston Sideroad in Caledon is an excellent roadway to propose on-street cycling facilities to connect the Erin-Caledon--Caledon East-Mono corridor.
We encourage you to consider extending bicycle routes through our community of Mississippi Mills. We already have a great organization promoting cycling which has planned special events through Bicycle Month for 9 years.
