Forestry and logging has been the backbone of our small communities for years and years. My Grandfather was in logging, my Father-in-law and my family. All of the surrounding communities with in Greenstone area depend on logging as a way of life. Read more

Raccoons can live in cities but many animals like caribou and elephants need their own habitat. These have to be preserved very carefully. The earth will be a far different and less healthy place when so much wildlife like elephants and maybe caribou go extinct in the wild. Read more

I support the extension to the Section 55 ESA Regulation. At this time I also support the formation of a multi-stakeholder panel to provide critical oversight and input on a workable solution for the ESA. A two year extension is NOT enough. Read more

It is not acceptable to exempt the logging industry from cutting trees in the boreal forest where an already threatened caribou is trying to survive. Their numbers are already declining and this will just be added stress on their survival! [Original Comment ID: 212898]
