Are you kidding me? You MUST keep Cap and Trade. It is the very least you can do. Do you realise that all of us with children and grandchildren will, because of your idiot policies, be sentencing them to a future of horror? Do you not know anything about science? Read more

I am a Canadian Citizen currently in New Zealand. I have been following the political movements of our province’s new premier. While I don’t agree with the vast majority of his political positions, this particular one is extremely upsetting to me. Read more

My high sense of urgency for immediate and effective action against climate change has heightened with the recent IPCC report. I find it very difficult to comment on the opposite of action - removal of action - when there is no indication of an effective, binding replacement. Read more

I am appalled that the government proposes to cancel Ontario's cap and trade system before publishing a plan to replace it. The recent international report on earth's changing climate confirms the urgency of reducing our carbon emissions as quickly as possible. Read more

Please don't do what the Liberals did. Do your research and find out how much it is going to cost us to cancel Cap and Trade. Is industry really that antagonistic to Cap and Trade? If so, perhaps there is another solution, rather than carte blanche cancelling the plan. Read more

The most recent information indicates that irreparable damage will be done to the environment if we don't impose stringent controls to protect the environment and reduce or stop green house emissions. Now is not the time to remove environmental protections. We should instead be strengthening them. Read more

I strongly discourage and oppose the repeal of Ontario's GHG Cap & Trade act. It should be kept, and recognized for its actions in involving Canada and Ontario in a growing and innovative market that comprises different cultures and countries. Read more

Oh Mr. Ford. What kind of vendetta are you on? What did the earth do to you, besides give life to everything you know and love? If you had any business sense (since this is what matters most in your rhetoric), you would know that cap and trade is good for business in Ontario. Read more

Hello, Cap and trade isn't perfect, but no system is. I don't think it is reasonable or wise for our government to cancel a system without yet having a plan for the new system to replace it. Of course, I suspect that plan is to have no plan, but that's beside the point. Read more

Let me begin by saying that carbon emissions MUST be reduced immediately. This is no longer a matter of conjecture; there are 6000 scientific studies substantiating the necessity of instituting policies that will ensure such a reduction. Read more

I am disappointed by the government's proposal to repeal the existing climate change act. Climate change is an undeniable scientific fact and its consequences are felt daily in our country, from raging wildfires to unprecedented heat waves. Read more
