This whole proposal is ludicrous - wrong-minded and caters to the desires of big business. Not only should we not be dismantling the Cap and Trade, those restrictions did not go nearly far enough. We should be enforcing more stringent regulations to guide us towards abandoning petroleum altogether. Read more

I strongly object to the cancellation of the Cap and Trade program by the current Ontario government. This program was already up and running and providing not only reduced carbon emissions but revenue to pay for other incentives to reduce emissions. Read more

All commercial operations should pay all of their costs and that includes costs to our environment. Dumping pollutants into the atmosphere without paying the costs to all the rest of us is not reasonable or tolerable. We have only one globe and one global climate. Read more

The cancellation of cap and trade is a mistake, and the election campaign references by the PC's to it as a job killing carbon tax were false and misleading. Cap and trade is more effective in addressing climate change than carbon taxes . All economic studies confirm this. Read more

So incredibly disheartened by the cancellation of this bill. As the mother of two young girls I fear the future they will face. From an economic standpoint, the way of the future is green energy. All research points to investing in green energy as a wise move for Canada's economic future. Read more
