In view of the latest report from the Paris Accord, cancelling a renewable wind project is hard to understand. This is especially true that it sends a message to potential investors in Ontario that the government is capricious and untrustworthy! Read more

The White Pines project is partially built and soon can be generating electricity for many homes. It does not make sense to destroy work that has already been completed. There will be a cost to destroy that the taxpayers will be in the hook for.

I am writing to support the WHITE PINES WIND PROJECT. The land it is being built on is land that is not being used for farming. It provides income to the landowners who havw vacant land. It provides money to be added yo tax base in an undrserved community. Read more

This project should not be shut down. It is a carbon-neutral power generation project that is almost complete. Public funds have already been invested in the project and that money will be wasted if it is shut down. Read more

It defies logic to revoke the renewable energy wind project at White Pines and then depend on nuclear power to get the energy required. Environmentally, the White Pines Wind Project mitigates some of the impacts of global warming. Read more

Please don’t close down this project. I can’t understand why a government that says it respect taxpayer dollars would shut down this project just before it was ready to go. Please finish the project, bring it online, and allow it to feed into Ontario’s power system.

The government of Ontario should SUPPORT clean energy projects such s these, not dismantle them. Be leaders of the future and allow clean energy to become competitive and accessible. Doing anything else is an insane, populist, short term strategy.

This project was already nearly completed and paid for at the time of cancellation. White Pines should be completed and remain operational. Closing down nearly completed wind farms does nothing to lower electricity prices. It's a waste of resources and money to shut this project down.

The White Pines facility should not be shut down. The project met all of the regulatory hurdles and it is almost completely built. The facility is a necessary part of transforming our energy use to renewable energy instead of fossil fuels. Read more

This makes no sense to me. The money has been spent and the project could be operational to this stage and contribute to the grid. Tearing it down is worse than silly and will cost us additional money before it is over. Read more
