I believe that there should be a season in which hunters can kill commorants with assigned rules and regulations. After being protected for soo long, they have now become a nuisance to anyone and everything living near water.

Relating to number two of your comments you say the hunt would take place in all of Ontario and in number three you sate the hunt would be in central and northern Ontario but not nothing mentioning southern Ontario .

I totally agree with an open season on cormorants. They have destroyed one of the prettiest islands on Opeongo Lake, Algonquin park. The damage they are doing to the fisheries is an unknown but they do eat a huge quantity of fish.

As a dedicated small game licence holder, I am in favour of the new proposal to bring back the double-crested cormorant hunt. With proper consideration I believe this can be a successful tool in managing a healthy and prosperous population of cormorants.
