The ECO is an important individual, and that position should not be removed. We need to ensure that our environment is going to be protected in the face of climate change . If this position were to be removed it would severely undermined the land that we use and live on.
Rolling back important protections for water, air, and natural spaces is unacceptable. Bill 66 is not only a detriment to the land we live on, but also to the citizens of of Ontario.

This bill will remove protections for the environment and our drinking water supply. It will make home daycares LESS safe. It will enable abuse of employees by employers by removing limitations on ordering of extra work.
For these many reasons I do not support this legislation.
As a citizen of Ontario I strongly oppose Bill 66. I don't believe that any industry, business or other entity should be exempt from following environmental protections that were put into place to not only protect our environment but also public safety.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Removing the ECO posting and, subsequently, protection for the greenbelt is a dangerous and irresponsible action. When will the PC government remove progressive from their handle?
I am against the part of this bill that will allow municipal governments to pass planning bylaws allowing development that does not meet the Clean Water act, the Greenbelt act, the Great Lakes Protection act, the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy act and the Oakridges Moraine Act.
