Please do not legalize bear hunting. Hunting bears doesn’t improve human safety. Stopping human-bear conflict is achieved by removing garbage, barbeques, and other attractants. Hunting promotes inhumane behaviour.
Stop this immediately. Earth does NOT belong to humans. Animals are taking up a fraction of the spaces humans are and using a fraction of the resources that humans are consuming.

A bear wakes up after a winter of being asleep. Hungry. You place food, wait for a bear and kill it. THIS is hunting? Not what my grandpa says it is. Don't let this become legal forever. At least make it a hunt. Or don't let it be legal ever. I am just a kid, but this makes me cry.
Canadian wildlife are already facing huge challenges because of deforestation and human encroachment into their territories. Killing bears as they leave their dens is not only unfair it leaves the orphaned cubs without a mother to teach the skills necessary for staying alive.
