Studies by Parks Canada and Dr. Martyn Obbard, formerly with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, show black bears on the Saugeen-Bruce Peninsula are in- danger of extinction within the next fifty years. The study estimates there are approximately 100-316 bears on the peninsula.

Hunting is abhorrent in any form and hunting with dogs is repellent and cruel.

Please prohit the spring black bear hunt!!! This is unfair to bears and their cubs!! Just think of the tiny cubs starving in their dens. This is HORRIFIC!!!!

I do not support trophy hunting of any kind, and think especially that opening a spring bear hunt is extremely unethical. All other bear hunting should also be banned. I do not support this proposed change.
Please do not allow the Spring bear hunt. Those beautiful animals deserve every right to live free and wild without the worry of harmful people hell bent on killing all wildlife
Bears are not the problem! Humans are! All wildlife are part of our nature, part of our heritage, and most importantly, part of our ecosystem! A life is a life, and all lives should be protected from harm! Hunters should not be allowed a license to kill!

Hunting is a cruel and despicable thing to do. These creatures have just as much right as humans to live peacefully. I urge you not to bring back the seasonal bear hunt.
