I am disgusted that the Ontario government is considering bringing back the Spring bear hunt. Is this government all about dollars! You have no regard for wildlife and this hunt will leave orphaned cubs to die. Have you no compassion? Please do not reinstate this hunt. Have some morals.

Protect and Respect !!!! Get your facts straight ! It’s education that’s needed here not an inhumane brutal hunt for these beautiful bears, male, or female , pregnant or cubs - it doesn’t matter to these low life hunters who kill with no respect for wildlife or their environment ! Read more

I am very much opposed to the implementation of a spring black bear hunt. I worked in wildlife rehab for many years, and saw firsthand the effects of hunting on bear populations, particularly orphaned cubs whose mothers had been shot. Read more

To allow the Spring Bear hunt would be irresponsible, to many cubs would end up dying once again, it's well known that mother bears will often leave cubs behind in trees or hidden while they forage food, when a hunter comes across the bear he doesn't know for sure if the bears have cubs or not th Read more

Please do not allow the "Spring Bear Hunt" to resume. It is cruel, irresponsible, inefficient and cowardly. It should not be used as amusement for hunters. Maybe humans should learn to respect others species, clean up our garbage and care for them as we were meant to.
