The spring black bear hunt is, in my opinion, inhumane and unscientific. It is particularly dangerous to young cubs who may become orphaned. Furthermore, it is offensive when aided by the practice of baiting.

Hunting black bears , particularly females with cubs , is irrational.
Educate people to store their garbage safely and human/bear conflict is avoided.
Ban sport hunting! Few bears are hunted for meat in modern times.(tastes terrible)

Please don't do this. The black bears are an iconic species, and nothing upsets me more than when they are killed. Rehabilitation is always better than killing them. I don't want to see any orphaned cubs. This is not right. I completely oppose this proposal.
Like many other people, I am against the spring bear hunt. Firstly, taking a mother away from her cubs when they are so young and vulnerable is sickening. Secondly, baiting of animals of any kind is atrocious to say the least!

Please DO NOT make the spring season for killing black bears into a permanent hunt. It should not exist at all in 2020. With the Climate Change emergency and the possible extinction of many species of wildlife, there should be NO HUNTING at all.
Thou shall not kill. I hope you have read that before. It does not specify who should not be killed. I would take as not to kill anybody, including bears. Live and let live.
Leave our wildlife alone! When humans interfere in nature, the balance becomes out of whack! Leave our bears alone! They have enough of a challenge to survive without being murdered by people! We should be preserving our wildlife ( bears), not eliminating it!

In this day and age, humans take for granted all that we have, and still want more. Enough!
