The spring black bear hunt is, in my opinion, inhumane and unscientific. It is particularly dangerous to young cubs who may become orphaned. Furthermore, it is offensive when aided by the practice of baiting. All baiting procedures must be registered if the hunt continues, but the better course by far would be to terminate the spring bear hunt altogether.
