Developers can and have been able to afford development charges. These monies go toward vital community services and improvements, why do you want to take that away from the people?

I’m against these new rules which reduce developers’ payments to the city and as such affects the city’s ability to provide adequate services/facilities to residents.
I live in North York and it gets very congested. Parks make city more livable, provides more sanity. And developers must contribute to green spaces as they did it before, not on a lesser scale. If this new change will pass I will vote for any candidate who would bring old rules back!!!
I do not agree with the policy proposal of the provincial government to limit the financial responsibility of the developers to the community and wish this proposal to not be ratified.

I am most strongly opposed to the new changes being proposed to community benefits under the Planning Act, Development Changes Act and Building Code Act. This will mean a decrease in revenues to the community from those levies currently in place.
