The Rouge River upstream of Rouge National Urban Park and Duffin’s Creek are key areas for restoration and enhanced protection and connectivity.

Key natural areas off limits to industry, urban development, infrastructure and agriculture should be identified and protected
Large areas dominated by native plants should be restored

It's important to protect the greenlands/wetlands!! Stop trying to "bulldoze" through these areas for your redundant, useless, expensive highways!! (e.g. Highway 413)
Preserving the Green Belt is the issue in Ontario that concerns me most. It dismays me to see rampant development north of Toronto, cookie-cutter subdivisions built with no respect for the natural areas they devastate.

With the rapid growth of Ontario's population comes more houses and industry, resulting in less nature. We humans are allowing this to happen out of greed. Please do everything within your power to save our beautiful nature.

The Greenbelt is ideally situated to help with the cumulative stresses of the pandemic, climate change, urban development and biodiversity loss. But opportunities for creating and enhancing the necessary connective corridors and protected areas are dwindling.

I would like to see stringent protection of all greenbelt and natural habitat areas in Ontario. Expansion of greenbelt area via purchase of land, adding conservation designated land areas and expanding park areas wherever possible.

I live in Milton and hike the Bruce Trail often.
I want the largest possible expansion of the Greenbelt. There should be more forest preserves and parks.
I want Ecological corridors enhanced and created so that all communities and wild areas in Ontario are connected.
