This practice of training dogs is absolutely barbaric. Wild animals should not be used for sport like this. Foxes, coyotes and rabbits can feel pain and using them for this purpose is absolutely cruel and disgusting. This should not be revisited and should be a phased out practice as planned.

This is inhumane and a disgusting barbaric way for the government to move backwards. I completely disavow this, and I’m just so disappointed with the government moving in this direction - please do not consider this. It will impact how I and many whom I know, will vote.

Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive. I want to protect our wildlife, not further decimate their numbers and inflict needless pain.
I am vehemently opposed to these dog train and trial areas. They are inhumane to animals. This is not naturalized wildlife life cycles it is trained and planned torture and hunting of innocent animals. No new facilities and shut down the existing.
This is severely barbaric and worse than shooting fish in a barrel. I understand hunting for sport, or sustenance, but this type of endeavour doesn’t show any respect to animal wellbeing or welfare.

Cruelty to all animals involved …would have hoped mankind had moved beyond culling animals from their nature habitat.. in anyway. I urge the Ministry to not issue any new licences or allow licences to be grandfathered and passed on!

I cannot believe that the Ontario government is considering this proposal. Are we barbarians? This was phased out in 1997 and for good reason. This is a cruel and inhumane practice. Cease and desist.
I do not agree with this proposal. It is an inhumane practice for the wild animals who are captured by hunters.
I also do not agree with the transfer of licenses.
Instead the remaining train and trial facilities should be shut down.
This is a cruel initiative where animals are treated as mere objects that don’t feel pain. Please don’t use animals to train other animals for hunting. Please be compassionate.
