Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions.

This is horrifying. I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario.
The proposal to expand trialing areas containing native Ontario wildlife is against my beliefs as a resident of Ontario. I believe that wildlife has such a great disadvantage, given modern hunting equipment and methods, that hunting these species using trained dogs is inhumane and barbarous.
I reject this proposal. Dog train and trial areas are incredibly cruel and inhumane. Far from allowing more to become licensed, we should be revoking all existing licenses and eradicating this practice completely.
