We oppose Ontario’s Unethical Regression on Training and Trialing Compounds!! We are better than this as a community and as Canadians we care for the well being and health of our natural habitats, and wild life

Killing animals for fun is unethical. This is even worse, capturing and torturing animals to train dogs to help kill animals for fun is just obviously sadistic. We should not expand this practice we should be shutting it down and charging people for illegally continuing the practice.

In reading media coverage and the consultation materials posted it seems as though the impetus of reversing the prior plan to phase out these facilities entirely is driven by current facilities users who are facing increasing difficulties due to lack of availability and the eventual discontinuation Read more

Why are you reducing animal rights and increasing suffering in the world for the name of sport? Figure it out. Don't allow licenses to be given out to torment captured wildlife. This government makes me embarrassed to be an Ontarian.

The fact that something like this is even being taken into consideration and not outright banned is disgusting. Animals deserve better than this, and basically torturing animals for "training" should never under any circumstances be allowed. Torturing animals for sport is not okay.

This practice is barbaric and has no place in 2023. Do better Ontario government. If this passes not only will the blood of innocent animals be on your hands, but this will not be forgotten during the next election cycle.

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Read more

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal allowing new and transferred licenses for train and trial areas is abhorrent and should be stopped and not continued. These are cruel practices, and wildlife should be left in the wild and not harmed or disturbed unnecessarily. Read more
