This is a highly unethical, cruel, and outdated practice which should not be permitted to continue at all. What a barbaric process to still be enacting this in 2023. How shameful to turn a blind eye to the suffering of certain animals you deem unworthy. Read more

Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Read more

I do not support this. The practice is animal cruelty. It does not matter if they are “pest animals” or dangerous. Animals can be culled and their populations controlled in ways that are humane. Read more

This is a cruel barbaric thing to do. I am appalled that *humans* would consider this at all, let alone a country like Canada. The people who are signing on to this have no empathy at all and should not be allowed to run anything!

We are a civilized and developed nation. Sleeping the torture of animals for "training" it sport is completely unacceptable. There is a reason these prescribes were being phased out already.

I cant believe this is even looking to go forward penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods of torture used to train dogs to hunt.

MPPs should be required to observe some of these “train and trial” sessions in person before voting. Drop the euphemisms. This is needless animal cruelty, and it cannot be justified in a civilized society.
