The use of penned dog hunting facilities is cruel to wild animals who are subjected to various training methods used to teach dogs to hunt. It is inhumane to take wildlife from their natural environments and hold them captive for hunting purposes. Read more

I firmly reject this proposal, as it is cruel. From the trapping to the exploitation of wildlife, this proposal goes against what we should be espousing as a community united for the betterment of the environnement.

Why is this government going backwards? Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Read more

Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. It's 2023 bad you can't train dogs without using real wild animals? Read more

It's backwards to reinstate a policy that was made to phase out cruel animal practices. Ontario should be a leader, not a practice in regression. What will stop these hunters from taking too much from our wildlife? With our modern day technology, is there no alternative?

I do not want these facilities in Ontario and I do not think they should be legal. It is cruel and inhumane to capture wild animals and remove them from their habitats in this way to be tortured and harassed by the dogs on site. This is animal cruelty, not a sport. Read more

This proposal is inhumane, unethical and unnecessary. Keeping animals confined for purposes used to train dogs for sport is cruel, and there are many other methods available which do not involve inhumane treatment of animals. Read more

I reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. This is a horrific and cruel practice! It has no place in Ontario. This is no better than coq or dog fighting. Read more

Simply incomprehensible this is being proposed: animal cruelty is illegal for good reason. Dressing what this bill intends to promote as anything less than animal cruelty is ridiculous.
