I firmly disagree with the captivity of wildlife animals. To use animals as bait for hunters to train dogs or hold competitions, as I find it cruel and offensive to disturb a natural habitat the circle of life.

This is a terrible practice. I’m a farmer and we sometimes have coyotes coming in and killing the lambs. This rarely happens but we get dogs to protect our sheep. I spoke at length about this with my neighbours and this "sport" is not something that we support.

Abhorrent practice of animal abuse.
The practice of canned hunting is disgusting and cruel.
Why? Surely there are alternative practices that can be used that do not involve penning an animal, dictating it's death.
This is not well aligned with ethical practises, and seems like a dated concept/sport. Please reconsider this decision, it is quite shocking to hear that this is still legal.
Trapping and penning animals just to torture and kill them for sport is a disgusting practice that should not be allowed, it is not representative of our society and does not represent our values as Canadians.

Please do not continue this practice because it’s too cruel.
The practice laid out for the dog training is cruel and inhumane. Other alternatives exist that don't involve that cruel killing of a defensiveless animal. Further studies should be completed with alternatives presented. It's to my knowledge the practice presented was phased out.

I am a SWO farmer. Raised animals all my life with respect and dignity. Have had to spend my life balancing the line between calling out unethical behaviour and defending ethical farmers from slander fabricated by animal rights activists who don’t know any better.
