This is absolutely wrong and against ethical treatment of animals. How is this even being considered in Ontario? Domesticated dog training should never take priority over native, wild animals lives. This is not good legislation for the good of Ontario.

This is animal cruelty and inhuman treatment of wildlife. We need to progress with less cruelty in our world. More compassion. PLEASE do not allow this to happen. We are the voices for the vulnerable!!!! DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN PLEASE!!

It's not ethical to capture wild animals to use as bait for hunting. Animals should not be forced to live in a high stress environment where they are constantly hunted and have no chance of escape.

1. You are “training” dogs to be unnatural to their species 2. It appears “hunters” are game to use unfair practices. 3. You are upsetting the balance of nature… wolves curtail vermin, and overpopulated species and yes deer & moose are what I’m talking about. Read more

I am outraged and horrified that this even exists! I thought we were a better country than that. I thought we had agencies in place to ensure the safety and care of animals. Yet this baiting and trapping of innocent animals is allowed and used to train hunting dogs? Are you kidding me?!? Read more

Bill 91, currently before the legislature for third reading, would allow new and the sale/trade of existing licenses for dog trial and train areas (or penned dog hunting facilities). Read more

This is absolutely barbaric and should not be allowed!!! In this year and time there is no excuse for such behaviour and lack of concern for the wildlife involved- an erosion of ourselves as a society. I forcefully say this should not be allowed.

I am horrified that a return to dog hunting pens is being considered in Ontario. This is cruel, inhumane, and entirely unnecessary. As I understand it, no other Canadian province allows this and it is banned in many parts of the USA. Read more
