This is a despicable practice. The practice of trapping wildlife to be ripped to shreds with no chance of escape to "train" dogs is barbaric and should be outlawed. There's no value in this, it is cruel and horrific. Read more

This is absolutely barbaric! What is going on with this province, let alone the world? We should be preserving wild life not torturing it more. Do not allow this to happen!!! Read more

I think this is a barbaric and cruel practice. It sickens me to know that my government is so inhumane to our defenceless wildlife. And what is it all for? Is it necessary? You assume that these animals feel no pain, fear or, stress, nor bear injury or torture. How cruel! Read more

I am completely appalled by this proposal. The cruelty alone is disgusting, not to mention barbaric especially in this day and age. This is not acceptable, and should this go through, we will not rest until we end such blatant cruelty. Shame on you.

This idea is so cruel and inhumane and as a Canadian citizen I am in favour of protecting our wildlife. I am against this change in legislation. Please stop this and protect our animals.

New train and trial areas were last approved to be established in 1997 and were intended to be phased-out over time. Let's continue with the plan to phase out these cruel and inhumane practises.

This is beyond sickening. There are humane systems for training dogs to hunt and this is not one of them. Please do not allow penned wildlife to be used for this training. The cruelty in this method of training is beyond shocking and shows a lack of emotional intelligence by planners.

This change sounds inhumane. I do not think trapping innocent wild animals for bait is an act that we should even be addressing in 2023. What is the actual purpose of this change? What laws are being skirted around?
