DO NOT make this amendment. It is unnecessary and cruel. Do not take steps backwards as we continue to learn more and more on animal intelligence and their deep capacity for pain. You would have to be a sociopath to not see how this amendment is unacceptable.

This proposal is nauseating. To the regulatory impact analysis, i suggest you add that this activity will promote violent and degrading behaviours in that this activity involves no aspect of empathy. Sociopathic and psychopathic behaviours are hallmarked by the lack of empathy. Read more

This should not be approved it is not the 1800’s. You are giving anyone the right to inflict pain on another being by playing God. This gets approved it will not stop anyone from inflicting cruelty on ALL animals. Read more

Please do not use wild animals as bait, practice or targets for sports. This is heinous, appalling, barbaric! Animals have as much right to their life and liberty and freedom as humans do. They do not deserve this cruelty.

Seriously? This is inhumane and to what purpose? Not only should new licenses not be issued, the practice should be shut banned altogether. How humanely a society treats its animals is a direct reflection of how it treats its citizens. Don’t let this happen. Please.

The arrogance of anyone thinking it is acceptable to use another animal as captive bait is overwhelmingly troubling. Presenting this rather barbaric concept as a training tool does not make it humane. I truly hope that decision makers reconsider permitting this disturbing proposal!
