I am strongly opposed to the proposed change to the Fish & Wildlife Conservation Act that will allow hunters to trap wildlife in pens to use as hunting practice for dogs. This is inhumane and an unnecessary practice.

As a community, we need to fight for the wellbeing of our wildlife and I totally oppose of this proposal! This is cruel to all the animals and domesticated animals should not hunt and kill. Wildlife issues can be healthy with in much better and humane ways.

This is possibly the ugliest idea i have heard in a very long time. Like bear baiting, this should be a criminal practice. The idea the our government is behind such a proposal is equally alarming.
I will absolutely never support a government that would consider this a worthwhile action. This cruelty indicates so much more to your constituents: lack of compassion, lack of judgement, disrespect for nature and an inability to prioritize issues that impact and benefit Ontarians.

This may be a great idea... but I think that instead of using defenseless animals to satisfy the sadistic proclivities of hunters and the like - we should use small children ... preferably the children of the people who think this is a good idea. What stupidity.
If this amendment is passed, I will be embarrassed to admit that I live in a Province that would allow such unnecessary barbaric behaviour. It is 2023.
