This is not acceptable. Dogs are pets not hunters. Hunters have no need of assistance- they are armed with rifles. That should be enough. If this goes through you will no longer have my vote.

I firmly oppose the MNR's proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses, for train and trial in Ontario. The cruelty wild animals are subjected to in order to train dogs to hunt, is unconscionable. Read more

This is a step backwards for wildlife in Ontario. Why repeat this cruel practice? Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environment and held captive by hunters. It’s particularly cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Read more

The cruelty to animals is a never ending surprise to me, especially in the name of “sport” or “fun”! I am not opposed to hunting but it should be done with the utmost avoidance of suffering to the animal. This “training” of dogs surely is the opposite! Read more

This is a despicable proposal. There are laws in place that prohibit humans from molesting/scaring/chasing wildlife for a reason and they apply everywhere, including here. Wildlife has rights. It is up to us humans to protect those rights. Read more

This is a very backwards proposal. We should be moving away from causing harm to other animals, not causing more. I hope one day humans will value the lives of other animals enough stop needlessly hurting and killing them.
