Please do not allow this horrific practice being done to our wildlife. All animals are living beings they feel pain and emotions this is not the way we should be treating another living beings so please do not allow this practice to continue to our Wildlife I'm begging you !

This is a cruel and completely against all ethical standards of animal treatment. Wild life should not be used to train dogs, this is no different than dog fighting. This type of sport is not only cruel to wild life, but creates dangerous dogs that are a threat to humans and pets if they get loose. Read more

I am shocked & very concerned that the Ontario government is considering amendments to Fish & Wildlife allowing the use of live animals as bait in training. OMG. Ontarians do not live in the medieval age of cruelty, this is 2023! Live animals must never be allowed to be used as bait. Read more

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals that are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Read more

I am a supporter of the party and many of your bills but I can not stand behind this bill which allows in a setting to bait and let your hound dogs hunt coyotes. I find this disheartening and disturbing to say the least. Read more

These training facilities should have been phased out long ago and should not be allowed to continue, let alone expanded on. I consider them to be similar to dog fighting. It's animal cruelty that can't be justified and has no merit. They are not a necessity and therefore are inhumane.

This is absolutely absurd! Get real. This is not nature. Dogs are domesticated and do not need to hunt coyotes, never mind in a controlled environment. I do not agree with this practice whatsoever.

Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters.This is cruel . It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Read more

This is wrong on so many levels , it’s cruelty at its highest levels . No you will have so called hunters conditioning dogs to kill other dogs . And I wonder what dog will be used for this gruesome act …..pit bull type dogs and other large breeds considered to be dangerous I would imagine. Read more

These facilities and practices are cruel and barbaric! I can't believe that this kind of facility is even being considered in the year 2023. In fact they should all be shut down. Don't allow the expansion of these facilities.
